How to volunteer abroad as a student?
For many student volunteers like you, this might be your first trip abroad, and you probably have a lot of questions about where to go, which program to choose, and what mentorship will be like. At Volunteering Solutions, we carefully review each application, focusing on your detailed information and needs to make sure we find the right placement for you. Our main goal is to provide great learning opportunities while you contribute to the project.
You don’t need any expertise or previous experience to volunteer abroad. All you need is a lot of empathy, open-mindedness, flexibility, and enthusiasm to contribute towards something meaningful.
We can even tailor our projects for groups of students, along with their teacher or mentor, so they can travel and volunteer together. This customized project will help them enhance their skills and gain valuable work experience. What are the requirements to be a part of the volunteer abroad programs for students?
- Participants must be 17 years or older to join a program, with certain exceptions allowing 16-year-olds to join with parental consent/accompanied by mentors.
- A Criminal Background Check Report is required to participate as a volunteer abroad.
- All participants must possess a valid passport with at least 6 months validity, as well as necessary visas, travel, and medical insurance.
- Lastly, participants must be open-minded, eager to learn, adaptive, and enthusiastic about exploring new experiences.
