Volunteer Healthcare/ Medical Program in Nepal

Volunteers joining the Healthcare Program make a genuine contribution to staff working in the local Nepalese Hospitals and medical clinics. Volunteers get a hands on clinical experience and get to observe and experience the healthcare system in the Himalayan Kingdom.
Depending on your knowledge and skills, you will be asked to assist with various procedures such as suturing wounds, giving vaccinations, being involved in the daily procedures of the hospital – observing or directly providing various sorts of assistance to existing doctors and nurses.
Volunteers may also be expected to assist in administrative tasks such as conducting hospital rounds with the doctors, maintaining files, routine patient check-ups, measure blood pressure, body temperature, record patient’s height, weight, and more.
The Healthcare Program is ideally suited for Pre medical and medical students who need to gain valuable experience which will be beneficial for their medical career.
